There are no special health precautions before coming to the country as there are no known sicknesses that would be dangerous to travellers coming to Libya. There are many hospitals owned by the government and many private clinics in Tripoli and other big cities. Living standards in Libya is generally good.
Villas and apartments are spacious and usually air-conditioned for expatriates. Most Europeans foodstuffs and other consumer products are available in the supermarkets and stores at reasonable prices, fruit and vegetables is found in abundance and is fairly inexpensive.
